How you are not taking a risk
Staged payment — 30 / 40 / 30
30% to start, 40% after the first working demo, 30% on delivery. You make the second payment having already seen a working result, not a promise.
Deposit refund
The delivery window starts the day I receive the deposit and every access item on the starting list. If you stop the work before the first demo, the deposit is refunded in full. After the first demo the deposit is not refunded, but you take the source code of everything already built.
Missed deadline
The first demo is the message in which I send you a link to a working version. If I miss the agreed deadline by more than 7 days, the deposit is refunded in full. There is one exception: delays on your side — access not granted, silence longer than 5 working days, a change to the agreed scope. Each such case shifts the deadline by exactly its own duration.

Fixed price
I quote the price and deadline before work starts — and they don't change mid-project.
Post-launch support
30 days of free support — fixes and small improvements included. After that — $35/hour, no retainer.
